Jon Marks is leaving 97.5 FM for a new career opportunity.

Philadelphia, PA – Sources have confirmed that Jon Marks, a co-host and producer of the morning show at 97.5 the Fanatic, will be leaving the show and the sports talk station when his contract expires on Oct. 20.

Marks will finish out his contract and will remain on air until October.

However, Marks has already announced his next project, as he’ll launch a website dedicated to helping employees who have problems with bullies at their place of business.

“We really want to help those who face bullying day in and day out at their own jobs. Nobody should have to face bullying on a daily basis, especially those of us who are of middle aged and realize this isn’t high school anymore,” Marks said.

The site, www.victimsofitalianworkplacebullies.com, will give harassed employees the “tools and confidence” necessary to deal with their own unique situations.

“Let’s say, for example, you have to deal with a boss who has called you a ‘stunad’ and a ‘stupid meatball’ every day since his hiring a year and a half ago from a rival sports talk station. We’ll give you the skills to deal with the harassment on your own, instead of locking yourself in the radio station bathroom and going on 5 to 10 minute crying jags during commercial breaks,” Marks said.

When asked why he had decided to pursue this new career course, Marks said a number of incidents at his place of business convinced him that nobody should have to suffer alone.

“I don’t want to name names, but I just got tired of the constant headlocks, the nonstop discussion of the best Godfather movies, the insults about not wearing a gold chain to work, being called a finocchio almost everyday, whatever that means….it just got tiring. Sure I felt like part of the group when he would include me in discussion about Sam Bradford being an elite quarterback, but I knew the harassment was right around the corner. Nobody should have to experience what I’ve experienced,” he said.

When asked for comment, host of the Morning Show Anthony Gargano said Marks would certainly be missed around the office.

“That pompino? He was a stupid meatball, but he knew I was just joking around. Kids got to grow some bigger cazzos if he wants to make it in this business, you know what I’m saying? Fugeddaboudit, heyyyyyyy!”

Gargano then put Marks in a headlock and called him a “stupid gabagool.”
