Philadelphia, PA – Perhaps taking a page out of the Reading Fightins book, the Philadelphia Soul are getting into the Star Wars craze and have announced they will don jerseys with a classic character from the beloved sci-fi franchise for an upcoming game.

The Soul will wear Figrin D’an jerseys against the Orlando Predators this Saturday, May 21.

Figrin D’an, as any fan of the series knows, is the lead Kloo Horn player and bandleader of the Modal Nodes. The Modal Nodes, of course, are the house band of the Mos Eisley Cantina and are known for their hit single “The Cantina Song,” which they perform on repeat for hours at a time.

The Soul are planning a night of festivities to honor the “most famous and well-known character of the Star Wars Franchise” during the special night.

“Figrin D’an embodies the qualities we embrace at the Philadelphia Soul. Strong, talented, and a hell of a Kloo Horn player. People know and love Figrin D’an and we are predicting one of the highest turnouts of the season. Each fan who attends Figrin D’an night will receive a replica Kloo Horn, it should be a great night,” Majority Soul Owner Ron Jaworski said.

“The Fightin’s can have their Chewbacca night, whatever. Nobody even knows who he is. Now Figrin D’an, he’s an A-lister.”

Rumor has it that the entire seven member Blith band from the planet Clak’dor VII may even reunite for a last performance during halftime.

The Cantina Song will play during every stoppage of play and points scored by the Soul, Jaworski noted.

If popular, the Soul also plan to hold Nalan Cheel, Tedn Dahai, Doikk Na’ts, Ickabel G’ont, Tech Mo’r and Lirin Car’n nights in the near future.

At press time, Jaworski would not confirm or deny the presence of Bib Fortuna at an upcoming game this season.
